The best concert ever
It's difficult for me to choose only one best concert. I love the music and I love go to concert.
I imagine that for you it must also be difficult choose one.
But, for this post I must pick, and the best concert I've been to is Roger Waters, with the tour "THE WALL" in Estadio Nacional in 2012.
I'm went to this concert with my best friend of that time, Marion. She also liked the album very much.
And I liked this band and this album because I'm admired very much the work and trayectory of the band.
To contextualize, Roger Waters is one of the founders of the Pink Floyd group. He was a singer and intrumentist. Pink Floyd is one of the most important bands of rock in the world, their are characterized by the experimentation and exploration with musical styles and synthesizers, and others thecnics and music styles.
They are cataloged as psychedelic, progressive and symphonic rock and actually are a important influence for a lot of musicians.
The album "THE WALL" is a conceptual an biographical album by Roger Waters, who creates an "alter ego" of himself for make a portrays of his life. The disc talks about the represses to himself due to the traumas of his life (the death of his father in Second World War, the maternal overprotection, the oppression of the education, sentimental failures, the pressure to be a famous figure in the world of music or its controversial use of drugs added to the disease).
The wall, the bricks build a wall that isolates it from life, which protects it from the outside, but which leads to a self-destructive fantasy. The album and this tour has been and is universally acclaimed, is considered one of the best works of the band and "one of the best in the history of rock", being constantly admired for its morbid and depressing atmosphere; besides continuing to be one of the most influential rock works ever made, with elements that over the years have inspired many other musicians. The album was an immense success, reaching the number one list in numerous countries and becoming one of the best albums of the decade and one of the best selling of all time.
On the intimate level, this concert I've been for me one of the most important, because it happened in years of search, self- knowledge and self-autodestruction. I was very adolescent and was in a stage of fundamental transition for my actual identity. This concert closed a stage of my life.
In adittion, it's one of my favorites concerts because the level of production of the tour. The staging and musical quality are incredible.
